Matea Kosar is a compassionate and culturally sensitive Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, bringing years of experience to her work with individuals facing a variety of challenges. She feels deeply honored to accompany her clients on their healing journeys, offering a safe and non-judgmental space for them to explore the experiences that may be holding them back from achieving natural healing.

Adopting a collaborative and strengths-based approach, Matea draws from a wealth of educational, professional, and life experiences. Her childhood years spent during the war in Sarajevo have profoundly shaped her understanding of trauma and resilience. As a war survivor and immigrant, she brings a valuable perspective to her work, empowering clients to navigate their own difficult experiences.

In addition to her therapeutic work, Matea dedicates her free time to volunteering with Postpartum Support International, where she provides peer support to pregnant individuals and mothers. She focuses on enhancing their well-being and helping them develop a strong bond with their babies. She also specializes in supporting those who have experienced the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy or birth.

By focusing on her clients' strengths and resilience, Matea provides support to adults dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, as well as perinatal and postpartum mental health issues.
